The heart of any smartphone are the awesome apps it holds and the efficiency of the app in the OS. DailyModi – Apps (Free)
DailyModi is a free iPhone app that provides daily inspiration in the form of three slideshows of twenty photos each. Today, for instance, my slideshows are Logan White Photography, Women’s Shirts on Threadless and Maps Imagination. If I want more slideshows, I need to open the app again tomorrow. The app grew from a website called PlayModi that encourages users to create slideshows, though there’s no pressure to do so in the app — just a refreshingly limited amount of choice content for your swiping and rating pleasure.
App.bg – Apps (Free)
App.bg shows you Instagram images, Foursquare tips and Tweets nearby. It’s an incredibly simple, easy tool, and the best part about it is it’s a web app — any device with a browser can use it by navigating to App.bg.
Ted Mobile for iPhone – Apps (Free)
TED Mobile for iPhone puts TED’s famous 18-minutes-or-less talks by prominent thought leaders in your pocket. It also allows you to tap into a “TED radio” feature that continuously plays talks.
Google and NORAD Santa Tracker
Google and NORAD launched free Android and iOS apps this week for keeping tabs on Santa as he makes his journey around the globe on Christmas Eve.
AirCassette – Apps ($1.99)
AirCassette makes your iPhone look like a cassette player, complete with the song title scrawled across a sticker label. It also allows you to queue up the songs you want to hear next and share “cassettes” with friends on Facebook.
Infinity Blade II – Games ($6.99)
Infinity Blade II for iOS launched on Thursday and immediately soared to the top of the App Store’s best sellers list. It’s the first iOS game that takes advantage of the superior graphics capabilities of the iPhone 4S, and we’re impressed. See our full hands-on review for the details.
The Amazing Spider-Man: An Origin Story – Games ($6.99)
The Amazing Spider-Man: An Origin Story is Disney’s first iOS app based on a Marvel Comics character. It includes a “secret spider hunt,” Spidey sound effects and an option to have the book narrated by Spider-Man’s co-creator, Stan Lee.
A list of the best there are (once again. I know it might get a bit repetitive with to top 8 this top 7 that.. It is the holiday season indeed.. want you to spend your money in the best possible way). Anyways the list of the latest Apps that might kindle the true potential of your iPhone and make your addicition to your apps a wee bit higher.
