With the release of Apple iPhone 4, the search for the iPhone Killer has again started. The fourth version of iPhone is faster and sleeker than earlier versions and again other cellphone manufacturer companies are forced to look for its alternative phone.
Motorola DROID, Android powered Smartphone, has been seen as the top contender of iPhone from the day of its launch. Motorola DROID X is the latest version and we are trying to do a comparison of the features offered by the two best phones in the mobile market.
Feature | Apple iPhone 4 | Motorola DROID X | Conclusion |
Dimensions | 4.5 x 2.3 x 0.37 inches | 5 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches | Motorola DROID X is slightly bigger than iPhone 4 |

Weight | 137 gm | 153 gm | DROID is slightly heavy but that’s due to slightly bigger size. |
Operating System | iOS4 Apple Proprietary | Android 2.1 OS with MotoBlur technology | iPhone OS comes with multitasking and great user interface but still it doesn’t support email-attachments and built-in photo editing feature. However these features are common in Android OS. |

Games and Apps | Apple’s App Store | Android Market | Apple’s App Store offers almost 5 times more games than Android Market but most widely used apps are easily found for both OS |
Price | Offered through AT&T, 16GB@199 USD and 32GB@299USD | Offered through Verizon Network at a price tag of 199 USD | The prices are very competitive and it depends on the network provider you want to use |
Conclusion
Both of the phones are new in market and user reviews will certainly come in few days. However we have seen the reception issue already reported by iPhone 4 users but Droid X is almost similar to its earlier version. Personally, I would go for Droid X for it’s being more features packed than iPhone 4.
