NEC Electronic Corporation in conjunction with another company called Soundpower has come up with a prototype of battery-less remote control for TV, which is based on power generation in vibration that occurs when you press the button on the remote control with your fingers. So neither it requires to change batteries, nor it will even run out of power.
Mobile devices need fast information without all the fancy look and feel of the standard search engines. Bing has been giving tough competition to the Google – but they needed to get an edge over the giant – that’s mobile at Google Search
Specifically, when we press the remote buttons, it uses the electricity generated by the vibration which is enough to perform basic operations like power the TV ON / OFF, adjusting volume, changing the channel.
The companies intend for the technology to hopefully hit the market in the next couple of years.
