Design & Hardware- Simply Irresistible!

The first thing that will catch you eye will be the large 4.7inch screen and it  has the distinction of being the largest display found on any phone running windows mango OS. It has a resolution of 480×800 pixels .The dimensions of the phone is 131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9mm and weighs 160g.The device does not feel that heavy when held. A 1.3mp camera for video calling is situated above the screen. Micro usb for charging can be found on the left and the top surface is home to a power button and a 3.5mm jack for audio and the volume rocker and shutter button reside on the right. Dual LED flash flanks the 8mp camera. The home , back and search buttons are found below the screen. The phone exudes solidness.A 1.5GHz Single core Qualcomm snapdragon processor with a 512mb RAM powers the device. The 512 RAM does not give the confidence to open multiple application at once.

Camera- Quality Images are a Promise!

The titan has a 8mp with a LED flash on board, operating the camera is a breeze. The inclusion of features like face detection, burst mode are sure to be a plus and the phone stored the photos without any complication. Auto fix option can be utilized to improve the photo. Video capture at 720p is possible. Zoom and Autofocus are functions provided with the video camera. Image and video clarity are good and will be useful for shooting candid moments.

User Interface and display

Htc Titan feature windows phone 7.5 popularly known as mango. Mango is faster and is a huge leap from the windows 7 mobile OS. Among the changes prominent are better browsing, multitasking, internet sharing. The freedom of android is not present in the windows os. The video playback looks good on the large screen.The screen is a super LCD.Screen packs a punch and showcases colours vividly. Reading and browsing are enjoyable experience due to the screen.

Battery-Lasts Longer Than You Could Ever Dream of!

410 minutes 3G talktime (up to 710 minutes GSM) or up to 460 hours 3G standby (up to 360 hours GSM) from a single charge are Htc’s numbers .The large screen might give you a notion that the battery might give up mid way but that was not the case.The battery lasts a day with heavy use thanks to mango’s new battery saver feature.

Final verdict

The HTC Titan stays true to its name. It stands tall(literally) in performance and features.  The excellent build quality,  a worthy snap shooter and an awesome screen coupled with good interface  moulds it  into  a  good  phone.
