Yesterday was a ‘BIG-BIG DAY’ for all Digi Cam Lovers; because yesterday Samsung launched it’s Android powered Galaxy Camera in Indian Market. Yup, I said Android powered. So from now, Android will power cameras too after winning the battle of worldwide smartphone market. This camera will not just allow you to quickly share your ‘cool clicks’, but it will also allow you to run apps, like any Android smartphone.
This Galaxy Camera was first of all revealed in Berlin, and now it is available in India too at a whooping price of Rs. 29,900. According to Mr. Asim Warsi, VP of Samsung Mobile India, Galaxy Camera will allow users to take very high quality pictures and videos from anywhere through a single device. He said,
This camera marks a generational shift. Users can share their images or videos instantly through their social networking sites. Posting high definition images which look like the work of a professional on Facebook and Twitter can now become a smooth operation. With a comprehensive set of 35 photo editing tools, the camera is ideal for editing. In fact, one can do extensive editing on this. Using the easy-to-navigate menu system, users can choose from a series of options which automatically adjust the camera’s settings in order to capture the perfect photo.
Galaxy Camera also has 3G, 4Gand Wifi Connectivity. The OS of Camera is Android 4.1, also known as Jelly Bean. It is equipped with an amazing 21x zoom and a cool 16M BSI CMOS sensor. It also supports ‘Smart Mode’ functionality. It has got a 4.8’’ high-definition super clear touch screen, and is available in two color choices – Black and White. Other colors may also come after some time.
This camera is capable of capturing images in a 4,608×3,456 px resolution. It has got 10GB of internal flash storage, out of which only 3.87GB is available for the user. Additional storage can be added through a memory card.
The tablet side of this camera is not much different than other Android tablets, and anyone who has used an Android device will find himself familiar with the functions of this camera-cum-tablet.
So finally we can say that this is a camera which can also be used like a tablet. So how you choose to use it, is up to you. Samsung has tried to run it’s imagination as wildly as possible, and now it’s your turn.
