Sweet victory

Consumer reports has released its verdict on the performance of what is claimed to be the “most amazing iPhone yet” and the iPhone 4s has proved its mettle there. Thanks to a faster processor, an upgraded camera and its pièce de résistance Siri, the amazing voice-activated virtual assistant which for once stands true to its name!

i-won the battle

According to CR the iPhone 4s is rid of the reception flaw that made them kick iPhone 4 from their list of recommended models. It would be unfair to not mention however, that the iPhone 4 is still stereotypical of apple’s calibre in all its other features, so all you fan-boys stop frowning, we still love it! The 4s equalled its predecessor in the battery life tests with both the models proving to be outstanding.

However, Apple upon receiving complaints on both the models about its low battery life announced that they would release a software update of their mobile operating system, iOS5 that would rid them of the “few bugs” that caused the problem.  CR plans to re-test the iPhone post-software update to see how it affects the already outstanding battery life.

Although it was yet another signature apple masterpiece there was a loss of signal strength in the iPhone 4 when its users touched it at a particular spot to the lower left, when they were in a location where signal were feeble as it is. Apparently they went overboard with their sensitivity obsession with the iPhone4, and even the samples of the have that problem! However, they sidestepped that landmine with the 4s as a result of which it made it into their list of recommended models.

Bitter loss – i-Lost the war

Being the “most amazing iPhone yet” was not enough to topple the best new Android based phones in the CR rating system. Armed with larger displays and faster 4g networks the top scores were, Samsung Galaxy S II, Motorola Droid Bionic, the LG Thrill and many others that boasted better features than Apple’s latest brainchild. However there you never know, Timothy might be cooking something new in that genius-factory of his!
